Turmoil continues in İYİ Party: "The party has reached a position of 'opposing the opposition'"

The İYİ Party, which decided to enter the local elections to be held in March 'free and independent', cannot stop the wave of resignations. Ali Kıdık, one of the founders of the Istanbul provincial organization, resigned from the party, stating that the İYİ Party has reached a position of opposing the opposition. 

Resignations continue to come one after another in the İYİ Party. Shaken by the resignations of prominent names such as Deputy Chairman Ece Güner, Adnan Beker, Ümit Dikbayır, and Yüksel Arslan, another resignation news for the İYİ Party came from Istanbul. Ali Kıdık, one of the important figures of the Istanbul organization, announced on his social media account that he had resigned. Kıdık emphasized that the party has reached a point of opposing the opposition. Kıdık's post is as follows:

"To the public: As of today, I am terminating my İYİ Party membership, with reasons to be explained later. The İYİ Party, which we founded with great hopes, has unfortunately moved away from the reality of our country and has reached a position of 'opposing the opposition.' However, while this country has so many problems that deepen every day, instead of seeking solutions to society's problems and showing that it is an alternative to the current government, it has completely drifted away from its goal due to the trust issues it experiences within itself. The march called 'Free and Independent' today should have taken place when we left the table. I could write pages of reasons. I would like to express that I am saddened to see that the struggle we have waged for over seven years has no value, and to see that gossip is given more credit, and that internal calculations and settling of scores take precedence over the realities of the country. I offer my respect and love to all of our İYİ Party organizations. Because I am a witness that they are much more faithful and have put in much more effort than the headquarters in Ankara. Sincerely."
