Sakarya independent MP Ümit Dikbayır made significant statements on the program 'Nokta Atışı with İpek Özbey' broadcast on Sözcü TV.

Evaluating the departure of Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu and Söke Mayor Mustafa İberya Arıkan from the CHP to join the AKP, Dikbayır also clearly expressed his own political stance.

Stating that he had received offers from the AKP three times, Dikbayır said, "I have received offers from almost all parties, but I do not find it right to switch to another party. If even one person on the street were to say to me, 'We voted for you, how can you switch to another party?', I would have no answer to give," he said.

He further emphasized that he does not find it right to transfer opposition votes to the ruling party.

Stating that he could not be a part of the policies he has criticized for years, Dikbayır used the expressions, "I have fought against practices that usurp the rights of citizens. I cannot be a part of that structure."

These statements have sparked an important debate on political loyalty and ethics.
