Ümit Dikbayır speaks to 12punto: Will he resign?

The resignation earthquake continues in the İYİ Party. While the claim that Akşener told Sakarya MP Ümit Dikbayır and Ankara MP Adnan Beker to “Get out!” remains on the agenda, Beker announced his resignation in a post on his X account.

ALL EYES TURNED TO DİKBAYIR

Speaking to 12punto, Dikbayır said, "Not right now. You know that I have a petition. I am following that process."

"CAN A PARTY BE MANAGED WITH ANGER?"

While it is alleged that Dikbayır was accused by Akşener of 'having his bank accounts investigated and establishing financial relations with municipalities,' Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz stated, “Dikbayır says he will wait until next week, and if there is no development, he will apply to the prosecutor's office to request an investigation into the allegations and will submit a petition to the TBMM for his parliamentary immunity to be lifted.”

Furthermore, speaking to Saymaz, Dikbayır said the following regarding the process in the İYİ Party:

“Can a party be managed with gossip and slander? They are managing the party with a sense of revenge. My conscience is clear, my head is held high. Akşener believed the allegations. I don't even understand how she believed them.

We put forward Yavaş and İmamoğlu as vice presidential candidates. We said, ‘Istanbul and Ankara are successful.’ How will we explain this now? I spent four years in Sakarya explaining what Yavaş did. How will this work? I don't find it right. We could have left the decision to the provinces. The provinces could have reached an agreement among themselves. Can a party be managed with ambition, a sense of revenge, and anger? It's a shame! I ask: Ankara, Istanbul… If these municipalities were not in the Nation Alliance, could October 29th have been celebrated like this?”
