Ümit Özdağ: Do not be surprised if you see defections from Parliament to the Victory Party

Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ visited his party's Burdur Provincial Headquarters.

Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ stated that Tefenni Mayor Ümit Alagöz has joined the Victory Party and said, "I believe that other mayors will also take their place in the ranks of the Victory Party in the coming period. Do not be surprised if you see defections from the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to the Victory Party as well."

Stating that his party's 2nd ordinary congress will be held in Ankara on December 8, Özdağ said that new names will join the general administrative board and the central disciplinary board at the congress.

Özdağ used the following expressions:

"Our newly elected general administrative board will include names that the public recognizes from various occasions in bureaucracy, academia, and the world of economics. Former Ankara Police Chief Mahmut Karaaslan, who suppressed the July 15 FETÖ coup attempt in Ankara, will be a member of our general administrative board. Retired ambassador Halil Akıncı, one of the respected names of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be among the names to take part in the Victory Party General Administrative Board. There are people I will meet with for their participation in our party in the coming days."
