Ümit Özdağ’s harsh reaction to the İsmailağa Community: Do you want to hijack the Turkish soldier's victory?

The 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, which remains in memory with former Prime Minister Bülent Ecevit’s coded instruction "Ayşe should go on vacation" and which initiated the process leading to the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)…

A cleric from the İsmailağa Community, led by Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu who passed away two years ago, claimed that Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu’s prayers were influential in the Cyprus Peace Operation.

The İsmailağa Community cleric claimed that Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu had an impact on the Cyprus victory, saying, "The Beşparmak Mountains could not be crossed. Mahmut Efendi said, 'Leave me alone for half an hour,' and then he came out, drenched in sweat. Five minutes later, an announcement on the radio said, 'The Beşparmak Mountains have been crossed.'"

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ reacted harshly to the remarks made by the İsmailağa Community cleric regarding the Cyprus Peace Operation. Özdağ stated, "Do you want to hijack the Turkish soldier's victory?"

Ümit Özdağ declared, "Get out of here, you liar, you practitioner of shirk. You have hijacked everything; now do you want to hijack the victory won by the blood, life, and labor of the Turkish soldier? It is not you who are the Turkish soldiers who won the victories."
