Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ reacted sharply to the reports regarding the 'will' on social media.

Özdağ stated, "If a list of the 5 greatest traitors in Turkish history were to be made, the corpse of this man, who would easily make the list, should never be allowed into the lands he betrayed, Turkey." Suggesting that Gülen's body should be buried in the Vatican instead of Turkey, Özdağ said, "They should bury him where he belongs, in the Vatican. There is no need to even make a GATA-külli to bury him in the Vatican because that is where he belongs."

As reports and the will regarding Gülen's death continue to fuel public debate, many different opinions regarding his final wish continue to emerge.
