Ümit Özdağ's statement on local elections: We will announce our Ankara and İzmir candidates

Coming to Kayseri to attend various programs, Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ visited shopkeepers in the Develi district, listened to the problems of citizens, and met with party members at his party's district headquarters.

Moving on to the Kayseri Journalists Association, Özdağ made evaluations regarding the current agenda. Stating that they have begun to see groups bringing up demands for a caliphate in various parts of the country, Özdağ claimed that foreign intelligence services are behind all of these groups.

Özdağ expressed his support for the district governor who allegedly reacted to an imam who reportedly did not read the section about martyrs in a sermon published by the Presidency of Religious Affairs, noting that they stand with him.

Speaking about the local elections, Özdağ stated that they would field candidates everywhere except for the centers of Kars and Iğdır, and noted the following:

"Our understanding of an alliance is this: if there are individuals or parties who want to run on our lists and accept our policies, we will talk; our door is open. We have received such an application. Our colleagues will conduct the negotiations within this week and take the final step. In Istanbul, where the Victory Party has entered the race, it has turned into a three-way contest. We will announce our Ankara and İzmir candidates this week. Once we announce our candidates, you will see that the race in Ankara and İzmir has also turned into a three-way contest."

Later, Özdağ visited shopkeepers in the Talas district, drank tea with young people in a cafe, chatted, and took souvenir photos. Özdağ also attended a conference held at the Erciyes Culture Center.
