Ümit Özdağ's statement on 'Minguzzi': 'The preliminary stage of cartelization'

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who is currently detained at Silivri Prison, addressed the murder of 14-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was stabbed to death at a market in Kadıköy, and the death threats directed at his family. Özdağ stated that Turkey is facing a major threat from gangs.

Özdağ stated, "The fact that the family of our dear Ahmet Minguzzi, who was murdered with cold-blooded savagery by two gang members aged 15 and 16—a tragedy that pains us all—is being threatened and that Ahmet's grave has been vandalized shows how great a gang threat Turkey is facing and the kind of mentality these gangs possess."

Özdağ used the following expressions: 

One of the major threats facing Turkey is that gang formation in our country has reached the preliminary stage of Latin American-style cartelization. The Zafer Party's 'Clean Turkey Project' will ensure the creation of a Turkey cleansed of gangs.

During the trial process of these gang members, Zafer Party members will stand by the family of Ahmet Minguzzi, who has now become a child to us all.
