Hürriyet writer Abdulkadir Selvi, in his column where he stated, "President Erdoğan is conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the election results at the MKYK meeting held the other day. He says that the results obtained in the elections will be evaluated in every aspect and that what is necessary will be done," emphasized that there must be change in the AKP.
"WILL ERDOĞAN LEAD THE AKP OUT OF THIS?"
Selvi said the following:
“We will make our evaluations internally. We will go for a change of guard,” he says.
The change to be made in the party administration and the cabinet is seen as the first step in saying, ‘We have received the message given in the elections.’
Erdoğan had also said at the MYK meeting held immediately after the elections, “Everyone around this table, including myself, is responsible.” It is a fact that there is a strong expectation of change in the AK Party. This needs to be done without delay.
The situation the AK Party is facing is not a problem that can be resolved with one or two small changes. There is a need for radical changes in the party administration and government staff, policies, political style, rhetoric, and in understanding society. Will Erdoğan do this? He will.
Will Erdoğan lead the AK Party out of this? He will. But of course, if he carries out the expected changes. Otherwise, there will be a great disappointment."
