Akşener visited shopkeepers in Küçükçekmece and Avcılar alongside her party's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate, Buğra Kavuncu. Chatting with shopkeepers as part of her election campaign, Akşener requested votes for the mayoral positions.

In Sefaköy, Küçükçekmece, Akşener said, “During the pandemic and afterwards, I always came to ask how you were doing; you were the focus. But this time, I have come to request your votes.”

The shopkeeper she spoke with replied to Akşener, “May God grant what is best. Thank you for coming. Everyone has a political view, and I have mine too. It might work for the district, but not for the metropolitan municipality.”

"I GOT ANNOYED AFTER THE LAST ELECTION"

The İYİ Party Chair also visited shopkeepers in Avcılar following her visits in Küçükçekmece. Welcomed by party members, Akşener toured the shops on Marmara Street and requested votes. Akşener spoke for a while with a student she encountered during the shopkeeper visit.

When the student told Akşener, “My father supports and likes you. I used to like you too, but I got annoyed with you after the last election,” Akşener responded, “That’s fine, it can happen. You are the nation, you are the voter. A voter can very easily say things to a politician. They can convey their demands. When I stop making demands and stop doing politics and come to your side, then we will all mince politics together.”

After the shopkeeper visit, Akşener took a group photo with party members and left the district.
