Unprecedented gap in Metropoll's Istanbul poll! Ekrem İmamoğlu or Murat Kurum?
The results of the election poll conducted by Metropoll Research Company in Istanbul between March 24-26 have been revealed. The gap between Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and AKP candidate Murat Kurum in the poll, which surveyed 2,100 people, drew attention.

In Istanbul, one of the cities where the outcome of the critical elections is most anticipated, the race is expected to be between the AKP and MHP candidate Murat Kurum and the CHP candidate, the incumbent IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz, in his article titled 'İmamoğlu is widening the gap', reported the results of the latest election poll conducted by Metropoll Research Company in Istanbul.
In the poll conducted with 2,100 people between March 24-26, İmamoğlu emerged 9.5 points ahead.

After distributing the undecided voters, the gap widens to 11.6 points. In that case, the table takes the following shape:

KURUM LOST SIX POINTS IN TWO MONTHS
According to MetroPoll, Kurum, who was measured at 43.2 in January, has lost six points in two months.
İmamoğlu, on the other hand, increased his vote share by 1.4 points in the same time frame.
Participants were also asked the question, “Who will win the IMM election?”
50.3 percent said İmamoğlu would win, while 31.5 percent said Kurum would win. 1.3 percent said “Another candidate.” 16.9 percent were undecided.”
In his article, Saymaz also included Metropoll Research's general election poll. According to the results, the CHP is surpassing the AKP in Istanbul.
After distributing the undecided voters, the CHP moves 2.5 points ahead.

Saymaz also highlighted a notable section from the poll conducted by MetroPoll Research between March 15-18 in his column. Accordingly, participants were asked, “If Erdoğan were the candidate instead of Kurum, who would you vote for?” 40.8 percent said they would vote for İmamoğlu... 38.6 percent said they would vote for Erdoğan. 20.6 percent remained undecided.
