Rumors that Aslı Baykal, daughter of the late Deniz Baykal, is planning to form a new party became one of the night's most prominent topics. Millet Haber Ajansı Editor-in-Chief Sinan Burhan stated in a post on his social media account: "A party is being formed under the leadership of the late Deniz Baykal’s daughter, Aslı Baykal, with a 'new CHP' discourse. It is said that Mehmet Sevigen and Yılmaz Ateş will be part of this formation. It is stated that deputies and mayors from the CHP will join. It seems they will meet at the late İsmail Cem’s party," which turned everyone's eyes toward Aslı Baykal.
Baykal spoke about the aforementioned new party rumors during a live broadcast on tv100 and launched harsh criticism at the CHP, from which she has resigned.
Aslı Baykal stated the following:
We have never had such a meeting, and we have had no initiative to form a party; however, it is true that Turkey needs a party. I always talk about this, but there are financial and moral difficulties. Even if the moral ones are overcome, there are financial difficulties. I know that Turkey is in great need of an honest, clean movement that embraces all of Turkey, is tolerant, and transfers all its resources to its citizens. I hope this will be started soon with the right people.
-If such a problem were resolved, would you want to take on a leadership role?
Of course, I would run to do it... I am expressing my own thoughts; no one has come and made such an offer to me.
ALLEGATIONS OF BEING A MEMBER OF THE AKP

This CHP suppresses people on various issues. In the local elections, the citizens gave their support to the CHP and, let's say, brought them to power in the municipalities, but they consumed this in a short time. The reason for this is that they are doing everything they criticize the AKP for, everywhere, from mountains to stones to construction. They are chasing after rent...
The issue of terrorism that has emerged these days is something we have been talking about for years and is the reason we moved away from the CHP. I don't have concrete evidence, but the rhetoric and what is being discussed are obvious, and these are causing them to erode in the eyes of the public, and they are wandering in the wrong places...
For example, there was the issue of insulting the President, our girl Dilruba... The CHP chairman took her and sat her in the seat of honor at the ceremony, then this girl of ours was sentenced, and I didn't see any CHP member by her side. They don't do anything; that's how they are drifting away...
-If you received a political offer from the AKP, would you accept it?
Regardless of which party it comes from, it's not about receiving an offer; I have to believe that I will do something useful for Turkey. How the conditions for that would form is something to be discussed then!
