Ataşehir Mayor Battal İlgezdi booed by citizens: 'You have no such right'
During events organized by Ataşehir Municipality as part of the Republic's 100th-anniversary celebrations, Mayor Battal İlgezdi was booed by a group of citizens. İlgezdi responded by saying, There is no such thing, you have no such right.

Thousands of citizens gathered in Ataşehir Atatürk Neighborhood for the 100th-anniversary celebrations of the Republic.
Following the torchlight procession and march, Sertab Erener, who represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest and brought our country its only victory in the competition, took the stage.
Battal İlgezdi, who took the stage before the concert following the torchlight procession, was booed during his speech. İlgezdi was also met with reactions in the form of whistles.
İlgezdi reacted to the citizens by saying, "There is no such thing, you have no such right."
Some citizens attending the event stated that the reaction toward İlgezdi was due to the election results.
HE HAD JOINED THE DEBATES ON CHANGE
In an interview, Battal İlgezdi had signaled his support for Kılıçdaroğlu in the debates on change by saying, "Nothing changes with 'Kemal Bey should leave and I should come.' Let me also say this. If Kemal Bey leaves, the party will shrink by half."
