LOCAL ELECTION MESSAGE
Giving a message of alliance with the AKP regarding the local elections, Devlet Bahçeli stated, “The People's Alliance has set out for March 31, 2024. There will be no issue that we cannot resolve with the AK Party. Our side is clear and has not changed. The priority in negotiations with the AK Party is the Century of Turkey. We keep every promise we make. There is no bargaining, our goal is the same. The People's Alliance has reached a consensus.”
"SHEIKH SAID IS A SERVANT OF IMPERIALISM"
Touching upon the current debate over Sheikh Said, Bahçeli said, “Giving the name of Sheikh Said to a boulevard in Diyarbakır is an insult to the citizens of Diyarbakır. Said of Hınıs is a traitor to the homeland, the terrorist leader of the period he lived in, a murderer, a criminal, and a servant of imperialism.”
HIS TONGUE SLIPPED: MEP, MUHHEP, MUHEBBİ…
As he continued his speech, Bahçeli's tongue slipped.
While saying, “We push away with the back of our hand a style of politics that steps on the unknown and looks toward the concept (mefhum),” Bahçeli could not pronounce the word 'mefhum' and used expressions like, “Mep… muhhep… muhebbi…”
