Chief Presidential Advisor Saral: Mansur Yavaş will declare his stance in favor of our President

As the CHP prepares to go to an election to determine its presidential candidate, comments continue to be made in the political world regarding this move and its consequences, following ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş's statement that he will not participate in this election.

Although Yavaş has given messages of unity and solidarity, a remarkable statement came from Chief Presidential Advisor Oktay Saral. 

Evaluating the agenda during a program he attended, Saral made a comparison between Mansur Yavaş and Ekrem İmamoğlu and said he believes that Yavaş will adopt a stance in favor of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

On one side Ekrem İmamoğlu, on the other side Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, let's call it a two-way race, the final round, or if these two candidates are in the first round and there is no one else—though Fatih Erbakan has announced he will enter this race...

But I am speaking openly, I do not like Mr. Mansur's municipal management! He has certainly not performed successful municipal management on the scale of Ankara, but he has not crossed the line or the boundary either. He has not shown any insolence in his respect for his state, the law, or the judiciary.

I believe that Mr. Mansur will take a stance in favor of our President and will declare it.

Perhaps he won't, this is my belief, my thought... Because Mansur Yavaş does not think of his own ego like Ekrem does.

Everyone thinks of their own ego, but in this sense, the future of Turkey is more important to him.

I believe he is not a character who would hand over the future of Turkey to Ekrem İmamoğlu.
