For days, Turkey has been discussing the call made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli to PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, in which he said, 'Let him come to Parliament and announce that they have laid down their arms.'

While Bahçeli's words have been heavily criticized, especially by the CHP, this call has become an even greater topic of discussion following the terrorist attack that took place at TUSAŞ yesterday.

Participating in a program on Halk TV to evaluate the developments on the agenda, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır made a striking claim while assessing the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ and Bahçeli's call to Öcalan.

Stating that it was Erdoğan who made Devlet Bahçeli issue this call, Başarır used the following expressions:

"You cannot achieve results with such a radical move by having Devlet Bahçeli make a statement via a phone call from the Palace. Mr. Devlet cannot take this responsibility on his own; since Mr. Erdoğan has not denied this, this statement came from a certain line, but no one knows who it is."
