Speaking on the Taksim Meydanı program, journalist Barış Yarkadaş stated that there will be resignations of deputies from the CHP aimed at creating the parliamentary seat vacancies necessary for an early election.

Yarkadaş claimed that the CHP is working on a 'voluntary resignation' formula for an early election. Yarkadaş stated, "The demand for an early election was voiced early. 30 CHP deputies will resign towards the autumn."

"30 DEPUTIES WILL VOLUNTARILY RESIGN FROM THE CHP FOR AN EARLY ELECTION"

Yarkadaş said the following:

"Towards the autumn months, 30 CHP deputies will submit their resignations to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

These deputies will be chosen from places where the CHP is very strong. According to the plan, with the vacancy of these 30 seats, a by-election will be held.

Thus, by returning to the vacated seats more strongly, the CHP will say to the government, 'I am Turkey's leading party not only in local elections but also in general elections.'

The CHP will say, 'Let's go to an early election immediately; let's hold both the presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible'"
