CHP Aydın Deputy Bülent Tezcan has criticized Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the Istanbul Provincial Presidency, with harsh remarks.

Reminding that Tekin had severed his ties with his party in the past, Tezcan said, “He wanted to be the mayoral candidate from Kadıköy, and when he wasn't, he said whatever came to his mind and announced to the public that he had resigned from his party.
Now, by coincidence, he has become an individual whose name was given as a trustee in a place where this conspiracy was orchestrated,” he said.
Emphasizing that Tekin is trying to portray himself as a “hero,” Tezcan stated the following:
“He is paying his accumulated membership dues on the last day and posing as if he were not a part of this process. He is trying to take on a role by adopting a profile as if he were the last hero who will save the party from the abyss.
