IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu at Çağlayan Courthouse

IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu will provide testimony at the Istanbul Courthouse as part of two separate investigations launched due to his statements regarding the chief public prosecutor and an expert witness.

Two separate investigations have been launched against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu within the last eight days. The first investigation was opened due to his statements regarding Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek, and the second was opened on the allegation of attempting to influence the judiciary by targeting an expert witness.

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sent a summons to İmamoğlu to provide his statement and informed his lawyer.
