Mansur Yavaş responds to rival Altınok: 'He is criticizing the President'
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş visited the Atatürk Forest Farm Digital Zoo, which is set to open tomorrow. There, Yavaş responded to his rival in the mayoral race, Altınok, regarding his 'promise of money to retirees'.

Stating that the zoo is very important for introducing young people to digital technology, Yavaş noted that they aim to make children love nature and animals more by constantly updating the number of animals.
Responding to a question regarding People's Alliance ABB mayoral candidate Turgut Altınok's announcement that they would give 5 thousand liras per month to retirees if elected, Yavaş said, "I would have expected the government to give more. He is criticizing the President, he is criticizing the government; that is the implication. It is very important that he himself has realized this, but I hope the government realizes it as soon as possible too, because our priority must be the people who are living."
When asked about Turgut Altınok's statement that "The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is not paying this money out of its own pocket, it is giving the citizens' money back to the citizens," Yavaş spoke as follows:
"Yes. He won't be paying it out of his own pocket either. But the issue is this: You can take the money you receive from the people of Ankara and spend it on bringing in plants from abroad; you can give it to Hans or George. You can also invest what you take from the people of Ankara into empty projects.
