New call from Ali Babacan to Erdoğan! 'He should prepare to leave'

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan made a statement regarding AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's words, "I have no intention of running again," in a post on his social media account.

In the video he shared, Babacan included the following remarks:

"Countries with strong institutions prosper as a whole. In countries where power is concentrated in a single hand, widespread poverty occurs, and a handful of people get rich. That is exactly what is happening in Turkey right now. Therefore, what needs to be done now is for Mr. Erdoğan to start preparing to gradually hand over the country's administration to others, starting from today. If Erdoğan has been in power for 22 years, good things happened in Turkey during the first 10 years of this period with the European Union process and rational economic policies; one must give credit where credit is due. But if the country has been deteriorating in every field during the subsequent 10 years—the period when the power poisoning I mentioned began—and, I say this with even more regret, if it is going to continue to get worse, then if Mr. Erdoğan wants to leave a positive mark in history in this country, even at the last minute, he must pave the way for democracy and the rule of law in the country. He must plan for an orderly transition of power—what is called an 'orderly transition of power' in political science—regarding what comes after him. In other words, he must plan the system and the transition that will ensure the orderly transfer and change of power starting from today."
