Following the detention of Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB) President and CHP presidential primary candidate, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, along with 106 others on March 19, protests have erupted across Turkey.

Sharing a video from Saraçhane on his social media account on the 3rd day of his detention, İmamoğlu stated, "I trust you. These days will pass, and the beauty of solidarity and struggle will remain. You are very strong together."
