In Çanakkale, municipal police teams affiliated with the AKP-run Ezine Municipality attempted to remove a stand set up to support CHP Presidential Candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu.
A scuffle broke out between the teams and CHP members.
In a statement shared on its social media account regarding the footage, the CHP Çanakkale Youth Branch Presidency included the following remarks:
“The practice implemented to obstruct us during the signature campaign we are conducting in Ezine, Çanakkale, in support of Ekrem İmamoğlu is an indication that we are moving forward with confident steps on the right path. We stand tall against the injustices committed, and we stand by our friends who were subjected to this incident.”
