CHP Chairman Özgür Özel went to the home of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu to meet with his wife, Dilek İmamoğlu.

Describing the detention of her husband, whose home was surrounded by police in the morning, Dilek İmamoğlu said, "They arrived just after the sahur meal. Ekrem had time to get ready. They all performed their duties politely. They finished their work around 7:30. A perception is being created with dirty information circulating on social media for days. The true face of the incident will emerge sooner or later. Ekrem is entrusting both us and himself to his people. The nation will sooner or later hold those responsible for this injustice accountable."
ÖZGÜR ÖZEL WENT TO İMAMOĞLU'S HOME
Connecting to a Halk TV broadcast, CHP leader Özgür Özel described the events as a 'coup', called on everyone to support İmamoğlu, and stated that he was on his way.
