Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş made significant statements regarding the ongoing debates concerning the judicial process of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

WE ARE NOT A PARTY TO THESE DEBATES

Speaking at the Üsküdar Municipal Council, Dedetaş stated that the political speculations raised over İmamoğlu's case are meaningless, adding, "We are not a party to debates such as 'who will take over the Metropolitan Municipality.' The point that should really be highlighted is the relationship between the judiciary and politics, and that this process should not be used to sideline politicians seen as rivals."

Dedetaş emphasized that the link between the judiciary and politics is a sensitive issue for the healthy functioning of democracy, underlining that legal processes should not be turned into tools for political competition.
