Video statement from Özgür Özel: Anti-terror rally on October 27, march to Anıtkabir on October 29

The second meeting of the CHP Central Executive Board (MYK) held today has concluded. It has been learned that the Right to Life rally, which the CHP was scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 27, will now be held as a Right to Life Against Terror and Violence rally following the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.

Five people lost their lives and 22 others were injured in the terrorist attack on the Kahramankazan facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ).

The MYK meeting, which convened for the second time today at 18:00 under the chairmanship of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel—who returned to Ankara after canceling his six-province Eastern tour program due to the terrorist attack—has concluded.

It was learned that during the meeting, which lasted approximately three hours, it was decided that the "Right to Life" rally, which the CHP was scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 27, will be held as a "Right to Life Against Terror and Violence" rally following the attack on TUSAŞ. The rally will take place in Istanbul with the theme "We are together, we are united, we are not afraid."

It was learned that a video has been prepared to call for the rally and will be shared on social media accounts.

VIDEO STATEMENT FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL

Sharing a video on his social media account following the MYK decisions, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced his party's rally decision and stated that they will hold a march to Anıtkabir on October 29.

Özel added the following note to his video post:

Those who were not afraid saved this country.

We are not afraid either!

On October 27, we are holding the Right to Life Against Terror and Violence Rally in Istanbul.

On October 29, on the 101st anniversary of our Republic, we are gathering at the 1st Parliament and marching to Anıtkabir.
