Tanju Özcan hangs that photo back up
Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, who was expelled from the Republican People's Party (CHP), has returned to the party following a decision by the Party Assembly. Mayor Özcan re-hung his photo, which had been removed from the party building.

The request for Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan's return to the party was evaluated during the CHP's Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting. The Party Assembly decided in its meeting that Özcan should be allowed to return.
Having returned to the CHP, Mayor Özcan arrived in front of the party building after taking a city tour by bus. Özcan, who was welcomed by CHP members at the party building, addressed the crowd.

Thanking the party members, Tanju Özcan said, “I say this with sincerity, you welcomed us back here to our father's house with teary eyes. I hope we will continue to be worthy of you in the process ahead.

A VICTORY THAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY
Stating that they have kicked off the election campaign, Mayor Özcan said, “From today on, we are starting the election campaign. We will shake everyone's hand and explain to everyone what we have done.
We will achieve an election victory in Bolu that will not be forgotten and will go down in history. We are together with all our administrators and district chairs; we will sign off on a great success in Bolu together at the end of March,” he said.
HE RE-HUNG HIS PHOTO IN THE PARTY BUILDING
After Özcan was expelled, his photo in the party building had been thrown in the trash by CHP Council Member İlkay Bayrak. Mayor Özcan hung his picture back inside the party building with his own hands.
Having returned to his party, Tanju Özcan submitted his candidacy application to CHP Bolu Provincial Chair Tahsin Mert Karagöz. A pin featuring the Turkish flag was attached to Mayor Özcan by Provincial Chair Tahsin Mert Karagöz.
