AKP Ankara Deputy Osman Gökçek and AKP İzmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan were warned for constantly heckling speakers at the podium in the TBMM General Assembly.

According to a report in Gazete Duvar, the warning for Gökçek and İnan came last week from AKP member and Deputy Speaker of the TBMM Bekir Bozdağ, who was presiding over the session.

"THOSE WHO HECKLE ALWAYS GET A BEATING"

Stating that Gökçek was disrupting proceedings with his heckling, Bozdağ said, "I am looking from here, you are also causing the AK Party group to take a lot of heat; don't do it, it provides no benefit. Those who heckle always get a beating because the one who controls the podium is the one at the podium; the microphone is open to them, they are speaking, the nation hears them. If what you say only goes into the minutes, that's all, but what you say is not heard outside, yet the beating you receive is heard. Do not allow this, I am telling every deputy friend, I am telling everyone."

It was learned that following this warning from Bozdağ, Gökçek and İnan did not engage in any further heckling throughout the week.
