AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued important warnings to public officials at the Signing Ceremony for the Cooperation Protocol on Ethics Training and Training of Ethics Educators.
Emphasizing that no public employee who abuses their authority, turns a deaf ear to the public's problems, or wastes public resources will be tolerated, Erdoğan said, "These positions are a trust from the nation."
'POSITIONS ARE TEMPORARY'
Reminding that every duty of the state carries the purpose of serving the public, Erdoğan said, "Regardless of their position, status, or title, everyone should know that these offices are temporary. What is essential is to earn the prayers of the nation."
Using harsh language against those who use public power for personal gain, Erdoğan stated, "We have not shown, and will not show, any mercy to those who waste public resources or reach into the public treasury. We will not tolerate anyone who derives power from their seat to oppress the citizens."
EMPHASIS ON CIMER
Stating that a version of the "White Desk" (Beyaz Masa) application, which was implemented during his time as Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 1994, has now spread across all of Turkey through CIMER, Erdoğan said, "To date, 4.5 million applications have been made to CIMER. This system has become a very important communication channel between the citizens and the state."
