When will CHP's candidates be announced? A date has been set
While over 15,000 applications have been submitted for mayoral candidacies within the CHP, the first meeting regarding the matter is expected to be held at the CHP Party Assembly (PM) on December 14. It is claimed that some district and town candidates may be announced following the meeting.

In the CHP, which has received over 15,000 applications for mayoral candidacies, some candidates are expected to be announced at the Party Assembly, which will convene on Thursday, December 14, under the chairmanship of Chairman Özgür Özel.
EXCEEDED 15 THOUSAND
While 58 people have applied for metropolitan mayoral candidacies and 2,714 people have applied for mayoral candidacies within the CHP, it was announced that the total number of applications, including districts and towns, has exceeded 15,000.
It was stated that the CHP, which plans to announce the vast majority of its candidates by the end of the year, will hold frequent PM meetings. In this context, the first PM meeting will be held at the party headquarters on Thursday, December 14, at 15:00. At the PM, which will begin with the Chairman's presentation, evaluations regarding the "Local Election Strategy" and the candidate determination method in some electoral districts will be discussed. It is stated that candidates for some locations, even if only at the district and town level, may be announced on Thursday.
PROVINCIAL SURVEYS ON THE TABLE
The CHP is conducting a "satisfaction survey" in metropolitan cities and provinces for incumbent mayors, excluding those in Istanbul, Ankara, and Aydın. In the survey study, which began on November 27, the opinions of the electorate as well as the party organization were sought.
According to the results of the surveys, if there are no complaints about the mayor, an appointment will be made. If there is dissatisfaction with the mayor, prominent candidates will be identified in the second stage.
At the PM meeting on Thursday, provinces where the survey work has been completed will also be discussed. In the event that more than one candidate stands out and the candidates receive similar results, holding a primary election with the participation of members under party control is on the agenda.
No provincial-level candidate announcements are expected on Thursday.
