Who is Druze leader Walid Jumblatt?

Walid Jumblatt, one of Lebanon's most influential Druze leaders, was born in Lebanon on August 7, 1949. His father was Kamal Jumblatt, the founder of Lebanon's Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) and a prominent figure in the Druze community. Following his father's death in 1977, Walid Jumblatt assumed leadership of the PSP, securing a powerful position in Lebanese politics.
