Vehbi Orakçı was born in 1970 in Erzurum. Orakçı completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Erzurum. A graduate of the Department of Geomatics Engineering at Yıldız Technical University's Faculty of Civil Engineering, Orakçı completed his master's degree in International Politics and Economics at Beykent University and subsequently began his doctoral studies in Project Management at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Kültür University.
In 1993, while still a university student, he founded the Marmara Engineering and Construction Industry Joint Stock Company (Marmara Mühendislik ve Yapı Sanayi Anonim Şirketi) and operated in commercial sectors such as construction, projects, and engineering. In addition to his business life, he also worked as a volunteer teacher for one year. In the 2004 local elections, he was elected as the first founding mayor of Beylikdüzü.
Vehbi Orakçı will enter the local elections to be held on March 31 as the New Welfare Party's Beylikdüzü Mayoral Candidate.
