12punto columnist Müyesser Yıldız made an important assessment regarding Turkey's role in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Sharing her thoughts on the conflicting statements made by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, Yıldız said the following:

"WE HAVE SEEN IT WITH THE BLINKEN INCIDENT"

"While the Palestine-Israel war continues, the fact that US President Biden did not call Erdoğan and that Secretary of State Blinken, who has been traveling everywhere, did not come to Turkey has been widely discussed.

It was 8 days ago; Foreign Minister Fidan, who met with Ankara representatives of newspapers, explained Blinken's failure to visit as follows:

"He wanted to meet with us and come here. We were one of the first countries he wanted to visit. But the date he wanted to come did not fit my schedule. I had planned my Egypt visit for that date."

"We are in constant contact with him; we have spoken on the phone three times. He wants to come soon. Our teams are working on a date."

So, what did AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik say about the same issue today? This:

"The US Secretary of State not stopping by Turkey during his regional tour shows a diplomatic weakness. Not stopping by Turkey does not cause the Republic of Turkey to lose anything. It shows how much weakness those who do this are in."

In Ömer Çelik's statement, there was also a phrase about "exercising the state mind" against the war.
