CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yavuzyılmaz has documented that arbitrary vehicle allocations were made to the family members of the Presidency at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) during the AKP era, stating, "These allocations were stopped by Ekrem İmamoğlu."

CHP Deputy Chairman and Zonguldak MP Deniz Yavuzyılmaz announced that they have determined that arbitrary vehicle allocations were made to the family members of the Presidency at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) during the AKP era.


Yavuzyılmaz stated, "Expenses such as the vehicle's rental and the driver's salary were paid by the people of Istanbul, meaning they were paid out of the IMM's coffers. The current equivalent of the amount that came out of the IMM's coffers due to this vehicle allocation is 2 Million Lira!"

Yavuzyılmaz's social media post, in which he also shared the vehicle delivery records regarding the allocations in question, is as follows:

"Why is Ekrem İmamoğlu being detained-2 ?

During the AK Party era at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, to the family members of the Presidency

We have determined that the vehicle with license plate 34 NZ 6380 was arbitrarily allocated not for 1 day, not for 2 days, but for 698 consecutive days.

Expenses such as the vehicle's rental and the driver's salary were paid by the people of Istanbul, meaning they were paid out of the IMM's coffers.

The current equivalent of the amount that came out of the IMM's coffers due to this vehicle allocation is 2 Million Lira!

Note: Ekrem İmamoğlu stopped these allocations after being elected IMM Mayor."
