Why is Kılıçdaroğlu on Erdoğan's agenda? 'To put more pressure on the fault lines within the CHP...'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave a noteworthy speech yesterday at a meeting where he introduced his party's district mayoral candidates in Istanbul.

"PUSHING MR. KEMAL INTO LONELINESS..."

In his speech, Erdoğan said the following:

“Those who declared Mr. Kemal a scapegoat, pushed him into loneliness, and brought Mr. Özgür to the head of the CHP, their first act was to 'DEM-ify' this party with the party under the control of the separatist organization.”

In his article evaluating Erdoğan's words, Yetkin said:

“Internal strife in the CHP never ends, but the parties to the conflict somehow know how to stand together later. It looks like anarchy in other neighborhoods, but in our neighborhoods, they don't even call this internal democracy. For example, the foreign policy meeting that Özel organized recently was held not only with party officials but also by taking Çetin and Karayalçın on either side of him. As his health permits, Altan Öymen is also invited to both political and social meetings, such as those in Çankaya.

Erdoğan bringing up the subject is not because of a rekindled love for Mr. Kemal. It is aimed at putting more pressure on the fault lines within the CHP on the road to the March 31 elections. Surely Özel, Kılıçdaroğlu, and İmamoğlu are aware of this, aren't they?

We must also admit that Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun is among the people who most deserve the salary they receive in the presidential government system.”
