Will an AKP-HEDEP alliance be formed? 'Abdulkadir Selvi: If there is one...'

Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi addressed the allegations of a HEDEP-AKP alliance in his column. Recalling the resolution process, Selvi said, "An alliance wasn't formed back then, so why would it be formed now?"

In his column today, Selvi wrote the following regarding HEDEP:

"All eyes are on Meral Akşener regarding an alliance, but the real move came from HEDEP. HEDEP Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan gave the green light for an alliance in the local elections. Bakırhan said, 'We are not closed to alliances.' This statement is not a surprise, because the statements from those in Qandil are also in that direction. The opposition press, which is used to reporting every day that 'the AK Party will form an alliance with HEDEP' and then having it denied, gets excited when it comes to an alliance with the CHP.

The AK Party has no work underway to form an alliance with HEDEP. There is no such thought. If there is, it means I have missed that news. During the resolution process, Demirtaş committed the greatest betrayal against Erdoğan by saying, 'We will not let you be president.' An alliance wasn't formed back then, so why would it be formed now?"
