Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu performed Friday prayers at the Hırka-i Şerif Mosque alongside CHP Chairman Özgür Özel. Upon leaving the mosque, İmamoğlu responded to the claim made by Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi that "Dilek İmamoğlu will be a candidate," saying, "Believe me, don't read it."

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu performed Friday prayers at the Hırka-i Şerif Mosque alongside CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
After the prayer, a citizen asked about the claim regarding Dilek İmamoğlu made by Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi.
İmamoğlu gave the following response:
"Are you still reading Abdülkadir Selvi? It has been years since I stopped reading him. I recommend the same to you, sister. Believe me, don't read it. Believe me, don't read it."
