‘Will Özgür Özel or Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu win?’ poll

Betimar Research has taken the pulse of the public regarding the CHP, which is preparing to head to its party congress.

The Betimar survey, conducted between September 6-7 with 1,570 voters, sought answers to the announcement by İyi Party Chair Meral Akşener that they would enter the elections alone, as well as the question, "Will it be Özgür Özel or Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu?" regarding the CHP chairmanship.

According to Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi, who covered the poll in his column, Betimar first asked about Meral Akşener's statement that they would not be part of an alliance.

41.3 percent of those who participated in the survey said they found it wrong.

While the rate of those who said they found it correct remained at 31.4 percent, the rate of those who said she is trying to increase her bargaining power was 15.9 percent.

A segment of 11.4 percent said they had no answer.

19.8 percent of İyi Party voters also said they did not find Akşener's move correct.

The support of her party for Akşener's move was 66 percent.

KEMAL KILIÇDAROĞLU OR ÖZGÜR ÖZEL?

Participants in the survey were asked who would win a chairmanship race between Kılıçdaroğlu and Özgür Özel.

49.3 percent said Kılıçdaroğlu, while the rate of those who said Özgür Özel was 38.2 percent.

A segment of 12.5 percent stated they were undecided.

Betimar also asked the question of whether Kılıçdaroğlu or Özgür Özel would win to CHP voters specifically. CHP voters said Özgür Özel would win.

While 43.3 percent of the CHP voters who participated in the survey said Kılıçdaroğlu would win, the rate of those who said Özgür Özel would win was 47.6 percent.

9.1 percent of voters chose not to provide an answer.
