Will Sarıgül be the CHP's candidate for Ordu? 'I will do my best'

CHP Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül has responded to claims that he will be the CHP's candidate for Ordu Metropolitan Municipality mayor.

Journalist İsmail Küçükkaya, who called Sarıgül to ask about the claim, reported the following:

“I called Sarıgül; he deflected the question three times, but when I insisted, he gave this response: ‘The local organizations have reached a consensus on my name and have conveyed this to the headquarters. They said, “We can win Ordu with Sarıgül,” but I have no involvement in this, and no decision has been made yet; it is a decision for the chairman and our headquarters. If the chairman and the headquarters assign me such a duty, I will do my best to ensure they win, just as I have done until today.’”
