President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is making statements at his party's rally in Bursa, 3 days before the local elections.

I asked today, what is the turnout in Bursa? 90 thousand. There is no stopping.

We are planning to open a new era for Bursa by working hand in hand with our mayors.

HE GAVE A DATE FOR RETIREE SALARIES

We made a 50 percent increase in minimum wage and retiree salaries. We made a one-time payment of 5 thousand TL. Now, we have increased bank promotions to 8-12 thousand TL. We have provided a new opportunity for our retirees.

We will put retiree salaries back on the table after the first 6 months. We will take steps accordingly in the coming period to eliminate the injustice in the number of premium days for small tradesmen.

We will follow up on and fulfill the promises we made to different segments of our nation. We must continue our economic program with determination and ensure price stability. We will see inflation start to fall in the second half of the year. We will bring our retirees and employees to the level of prosperity they deserve.

We did not ignore the promises we made yesterday by claiming we don't remember them today. We never made promises we could not keep. We did not shy away from implementing steps regarding retirement that we were not entirely comfortable with, based on incoming demands. We shared the cost of an interim increase for retirees with our nation. Those who make empty promises to you will not be able to provide a remedy for your troubles.
