When asked by Fatih Altaylı how she would view a potential candidacy for IMM Mayor, with Altaylı noting that she would be a suitable fit for the position should IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu become a presidential candidate, Dedetaş said the following:
'24 HOURS IS A VERY LONG TIME IN POLITICS'
"It is a very nice compliment. I hear this. We do not discuss these things among ourselves because we need to focus on Üsküdar. Of course, it is very honorable. I also know this; 24 hours is a very long time in politics. Therefore, since it is never clear how this agenda will unfold or what the future holds, we do not include this among our own topics. At the very least, being considered worthy is gratifying."
