Working Group of the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties meets in Istanbul
The Working Group of the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties, hosted by the TKP in Istanbul, has determined the venue for the major gathering. The main theme of the meeting, to be held in Cuba in August 2026, will be solidarity with the Cuban Revolution on the 100th anniversary of Fidel Castro's birth and the joint struggle against imperialism.

The Working Group of the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties met in Istanbul on April 19, 2026, hosted by the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP).
At the meeting, where TKP General Secretary Kemal Okuyan delivered the opening speech and representatives from 23 parties participated, the attendees decided on the date, location, and theme of the 24th International Meeting; they also discussed various technical and logistical matters.
Accordingly, it was decided that the 24th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties will be held in Havana in August 2026, hosted by the Communist Party of Cuba.
The theme of the meeting was determined as, "Defending the legacy of the Cuban Revolution on the centenary of Fidel's birth and strengthening solidarity with socialist Cuba; expanding the joint struggle for peace against imperialist aggression."
The participating parties expressed their solidarity with Cuba's resistance against the US blockade in a joint statement they drafted. In addition, a statement emphasizing solidarity with the peoples of Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine against US and Israeli aggression was also adopted at the meeting.
