Anahtar Party Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu arrived in Kırşehir to attend the opening of his party's provincial headquarters and participate in 'Public Meetings' programs. Addressing party members at the Neşet Ertaş Culture and Art Center, Ağıralioğlu emphasized that politics in Turkey needs to be rebuilt.
"ARE WE SUPPOSED TO BE PICKLING VEGETABLES?"
Stating that they have received criticism from some circles asking, 'Is this the time to form a party?', Yavuz Ağıralioğlu said, "The Anahtar Party was established to offer prestige to the state, peace to the nation, trust in politics, capacity to institutions, opportunities to the youth, and the chance for those who know the country to put their knowledge into practice. With so many problems in the country, are we not supposed to form a party, but instead pickle vegetables?"
'PARTISANSHIP IS NOT ENOUGH, WE NEED MORE NOW'
Criticizing the AKP's 23-year rule, Ağıralioğlu spoke as follows:
"If a party could have lifted the country up through mere partisanship, the Justice and Development Party would have done it. But partisanship was not enough. We no longer need just a party; we need seriousness, morality, reason, and a comprehensive program. We need a management approach that embraces all potential without making distinctions between party members and non-members. Roads, hospitals, and airports are nice, but they were built at a high cost. It has fallen to us to cover the deficit of those built without proper accounting."
Arguing that politics must be brought back to the right path, Yavuz Ağıralioğlu stated, "Politics in Turkey must not forget that the nation is the principal and the politician is the agent. The biggest problem with today's politics is that it does not know its place or its limits. The Anahtar Party is proposing boundaries and limits for politics."
'YES TO A TERROR-FREE TURKEY, NO TO NEGOTIATING WITH TERRORISTS'
Making assessments regarding the rhetoric of a 'Terror-Free Turkey,' Ağıralioğlu stated that they are against negotiating with terrorism, saying, "Yes to a terror-free Turkey, but no to smiling at the murderers of our children. No to the right to hope for Öcalan. These decisions cannot be taken by a majority vote in Parliament; no steps can be taken without asking the citizens."
