YENİ Party visits Sinem Dedetaş and Deniz Göktaş

YENİ Party Istanbul MP Evrim Rızvanoğlu announced that she visited Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş and comedian Deniz Göktaş, who are being held at the Tekirdağ Karatepe Penal Institution.

In a post on her social media account, Rızvanoğlu stated that Dedetaş was "elected by the will of the people of Üsküdar," adding, "Mayor Sinem's place is not in prison, but in Üsküdar; she should be at her post."

Stating that she also met with Deniz Göktaş during the visit, Rızvanoğlu noted that she asked Göktaş the question that has been on the public agenda: "Have you read Moby Dick?" Rızvanoğlu said that the prison review of the book has been completed and it has reached Göktaş.

In her post, Rızvanoğlu stated that she conveyed messages of solidarity to Dedetaş and Göktaş, adding, "Their spirits are high, and they send their regards. I hope both of them regain their freedom as soon as possible."
