YRP Ankara candidate Suat Kılıç calls on Yavaş and Altınok: 'Let's have our projects compete'

Yeniden Refah Party's Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) mayoral candidate Suat Kılıç visited shopkeepers.

Making statements after his visits, Kılıç said that the Yeniden Refah Party would make the biggest breakthrough in the March 31 elections and would be the surprise party.

"LET'S HAVE OUR PROJECTS COMPETE"

Kılıç said, “I am calling on both Mr. Yavaş and Mr. Altınok. Let's appear on live broadcasts on the television channel of their choice, accompanied by the questions of the moderators of their choice, and talk about our projects. Let's have our projects compete. And let the people of Ankara see us, vote, and choose. Let them determine their mayor accordingly.”

Stating that they expect a large increase in their vote percentages, Kılıç spoke as follows:

“We see the interest, attention, and favor in society in this sense, but there is something beyond what we see. With the increasing awareness and recognition of our candidates with each passing day, there is an upward momentum, an upward graph every day.

"A WASTED FIVE YEARS"

Our people truly see the Yeniden Refah Party as the address for solutions to both local and general problems. I can see the biggest factor in this, of course. The biggest factor is that the past five years in the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality have been a wasted five years.

In the past five years of Ankara, the traffic problem could not be solved. The drinking water problem could not be solved. Sewage water could not be treated. Not a single metro line tender could be held. I am currently in Keçiören, and I am looking to see ‘what did the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality do in Keçiören’. I look to my right, I see nothing. I look to my left, I see nothing. In other words, municipalism is not just about keeping parks and gardens open or providing social aid,” he said.

"OUR POSTERS ARE BEING TAKEN DOWN"

Expressing that they cannot benefit from broadcasting opportunities on television channels, Kılıç said the following:

“On the other hand, our posters are being taken down rapidly. There is almost not a single poster of ours left in Ankara. We no longer have the strength to compete with their poster-tearing teams. They are tearing down and removing our posters from midnight until morning. If they brought them and left them at our door, maybe we would turn around and hang them again. We look in the trash, we can't find them in the trash. It is not even clear where they take and throw them.

"IT IS A VIOLATION OF RIGHTS, YOU ARE COMMITTING A SIN"

We are not a political party that receives treasury aid. We are not making these posters with anyone's money. It is a violation of rights, you are committing a sin. Don't do it. Do not tear down and throw away the posters. It is full of posters of the Keçiören Mayor and the Metropolitan Mayor. It is a shame, it is a sin.

"ISN'T THIS A FAIR RACE?"

Give us some opportunities too. Isn't this democracy, isn't this a fair race? Shouldn't we be in this race too? Since you are so keen on taking down our posters, then come on, let's have our projects compete. Let's have our visions compete. Let's talk about what you couldn't do for Ankara in five years and what we will do in the next five years.

"ABB IS IN A DEBT TRAP"

Kılıç continued his words as follows:

“You look back and see that the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is in a debt trap. But you look forward and see that the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality does not have the money, the resources, or the means to hold a metro tender in its coffers. Unfortunately, the Ankara Metropolitan Mayor complains about not being able to get authorization from the municipal council and complains about not receiving support from the government. The office of the Metropolitan Mayor is not a place to complain about not being able to find money. It is not an office to complain about ‘not being able to get support from the municipal council’. It is not a place to complain about ‘they are not giving support’ to those who ask ‘where is the metro’.

"MR. YAVAŞ, STOP MAKING EXCUSES"

When Suat Kılıç, from the Yeniden Refah Party, becomes the Ankara Metropolitan Mayor, he will not increase the debt burden of the capital. He will not be in a polemic with the President or the ministers about whether he found money or not, or whether he received support or not. He will not be unsuccessful, and he will not be looking for excuses for the work he could not do, such as ‘we are the opposition, they do not support us, we cannot get contributions from the municipal council’.

I have a call for Mr. Yavaş. You could not produce work. You could not produce a metro line. You could not solve the traffic problem. You could not increase the wastewater treatment capacity. It is clear that you will not be able to produce projects. It is clear that you will not be able to produce work. It is clear that you will not be able to solve the city's problems, at least stop making excuses. Stop making excuses. Let this city not lose another five years with these excuses.”
