YRP Chairman Erbakan's 'local election' claim
Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan stated that they will turn a new page in municipalities following the March 31 elections, saying, "Just as we did in 1989 and 1994, we will write epics in municipalities again, we will make history again."

General Chairman Fatih Erbakan, who came to Yozgat for the opening of the election liaison office of the Yeniden Refah Party's Yozgat Mayoral Candidate Kazım Arslan, addressed party members.
"OUR MEMBERSHIP HAS RISEN TO 390 THOUSAND"
Stating that the Yeniden Refah Party has become the key party of the March 31 local elections, Erbakan said, "Wherever you ask across Turkey, people say their votes in this election are for the Yeniden Refah Party. They say their votes are for Erbakan Hoca's son. Our people are expressing this clearly. Furthermore, the membership count of our Yeniden Refah Party officially and mathematically demonstrates this reality. Our membership count has increased from 260 thousand to 390 thousand in the last 5 months, thank God. Now, we will hopefully surpass 400 thousand next week. And God willing, we will enter the March 31 elections with 500 thousand members and bring our Yeniden Refah Party to power in local governments.
Going from 260 thousand to 390 thousand means growing by 50 percent in 5 months. Thank God Almighty. This is the blessing of the National View (Milli Görüş). And it is the result of the sacrifice and effort of these devoted members," he said.
"WE WILL MAKE HISTORY AGAIN IN MUNICIPALITIES AFTER MARCH 31"
Stating that citizens long for the National View era and desire those times, Erbakan said, "Our nation remembers the National View era and longs for those services; they want the National View again, they want Yeniden Refah. The Yeniden Refah Party is entering the elections in all our provinces and is entering as the favorite party of the elections, thank God. We achieved a success that many did not expect on May 14. We realized a surprise. Now, with God's permission, we will realize an even bigger surprise in the local elections on March 31. Hopefully, after March 31, we will turn a brand new page with our municipalities and, just as in 1989 and 1994, we will write epics in municipalities again, we will make history again, God willing," he said.
Following the speeches, Erbakan inaugurated the Yeniden Refah Party's Yozgat Election Liaison Office and wished his party's Mayoral Candidate Kazım Arslan success.
