Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ recounts memory with SADAT founder Adnan Tanrıverdi: 'He was waiting for the Messiah, Azrael arrived'

Adnan Tanrıverdi, the founder of SADAT (International Defense Consultancy), has passed away. Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ shared a memory of Tanrıverdi on X, stating, "He was waiting for the Messiah, Azrael arrived."

Adnan Tanrıverdi, the founder of SADAT, who had been receiving cancer treatment for some time, passed away early this morning (August 4). 

Tanrıverdi had previously served as a chief advisor to President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, resigning in January 2020.

Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ made a notable post on social media.

"SADAT founder Adnan Tanrıverdi has died. He worked to destroy the Republic of Turkey. He caused great harm to the Turkish Army." Özdağ continued his remarks as follows:

'HE HAD SAID "OH, ÜMİT ÖZDAĞ"'

"He should not have even been a First Lieutenant, let alone a Brigadier General. The greatest weakness of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) is the belief that 'nothing will happen to us' and its extreme weakness in internal intelligence and counter-intelligence. FETÖ and those like Adnan Tanrıverdi used this weakness to cause great harm. During an Ankara-Istanbul Turkish Airlines flight, he did not recognize me and, thinking I was an AK Party deputy, he explained the period before, during, and after July 15. When I gave him my card, he slapped his forehead and said, 'Oh, Ümit Özdağ.' He was waiting for the Messiah, Azrael arrived."
