Zafer Party Provincial Chair joins AKP

Bayram Bingöl, the former Eskişehir Provincial Chair of the Zafer Party, announced that he has resigned from his party and become a member of the AKP. Making statements following his resignation, Bingöl claimed that the Zafer Party, which focused on the refugee issue, had completed its mission and was unable to produce new policies.

In a post on his social media account, Bingöl said, "I joined the AKP for the health of Turkey. The issue is not the Zafer Party, but carrying Turkey into the new century. To be united and solve problems, one needs to be in a strong place."

'POLITICS CANNOT BE CONDUCTED LIKE MANAGING A COMPANY'

Touching upon the problems he experienced within the Zafer Party, Bingöl stated, "When you tried to achieve something in the party, you were hindered by rhetoric and actions intended to pull you down. Politics cannot be done with this mindset. Politics is about producing solutions together."

Drawing attention to the refugee issue, Bingöl said, "Asylum seekers have started to leave, and the Zafer Party's mission on this matter has ended. I want to correct mistakes and contribute to Turkey within the AKP."

'IF A TASK IS ASSIGNED, WE WILL DO IT'

Emphasizing that he has begun a new political era, Bingöl stated that he would not shy away from taking responsibility if he were assigned a task within the AKP. "My priority is the Republic of Turkey. If a task is assigned, we will do it; if not, it does not matter. The point is to work for Turkey," he said.

Bingöl, who also criticized the policies of the Zafer Party headquarters, said that his party failed to meet his expectations and that this was the reason he decided to join the AKP.
