Zafer Party statement on provocation: We don't even attend the funerals of Turkish children

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ responded to allegations of racism and pro-Israel sentiment directed at the Zafer Party on social media in a recent statement.

Describing the racist and anti-Arab rhetoric directed at the Zafer Party as slander, Zafer Party Chairman Prof. Dr. Ümit Özdağ stated, "The Zafer Party is a Turkish nationalist party on the path of Atatürk. We view life through the understanding of 'How happy is the one who says I am a Turk'."

Opposing claims that they engage in provocation, Özdağ announced that they do not even attend funerals to prevent incidents from occurring. Özdağ said the following:

For some time, the Zafer Party has been facing immoral slander on social media by AK Party trolls, FETÖ members, PKK terrorists, HÜDA PAR members, Barzani supporters, and Salafi jihadists. It is possible to group these slanders under the following headings:

The Zafer Party wants chaos and disorder. The Zafer Party is racist. The Zafer Party is anti-Arab. The Zafer Party is anti-Islamic. The Zafer Party is pro-Israel.

There is no basis or logic to these base and immoral slanders. We will respond to these immoral attacks and slanders once again:

The Zafer Party is the primary defender of peace, security, and geopolitical stability in Turkey. The Zafer Party is the only political party that stands against the chaos, disorder, civil war planned by imperialism and facilitated by the policies of the AK Party, and the resulting Kurdistan Project that is intended to be established in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions of our country. For this reason, the Zafer Party does not only content itself with ensuring political discipline within its own ranks, but also struggles to prevent provocations attempted from the outside to the extent of its power.

In this regard, when there is an attempt at provocation in any province, Zafer Party provincial presidencies contact the Provincial Police Chief and District Police Chief and assist the security forces. Rest assured, we have records of these, including the day, time, and the person spoken to. The state also has records of these.

The Zafer Party does not even attend the funerals of Turkish children killed by refugees and illegal migrants in order to prevent provocations. Yes, we take on their cases, our lawyers do not leave the families alone, but we do not go to the funerals so that someone does not provoke them.

As the Zafer Party, we filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office regarding the group called 'Ataman Brotherhood' on social media, which beats refugees and posts videos of them. The prosecutor's office had not even thought of investigating the matter before we filed this criminal complaint. As soon as we filed the complaint, they were forced to shut themselves down.

The Zafer Party prevented the provocation team called the 'Defense Movement' from infiltrating the Zafer Party and attempting to raid the rally of the separatist, sharia-advocating group called ÖZGÜRDER. We believe that if the powers behind the Defense Movement are revealed, many things in Turkey will be clarified.

The claims that the Zafer Party is racist or anti-Arab are nothing but nonsense. The Zafer Party is a Turkish nationalist party on the path of Atatürk. We view life through the understanding of 'How happy is the one who says I am a Turk'. We have thousands of brothers and sisters among us whose native language is Kurdish, Arabic, or Zazaki, but who have united under the motto of 'How happy is the one who says I am a Turk'.

We want the 7 million Syrian refugees and illegal migrants to leave. We want the 2 million Afghans to leave. We want the 2 million people who came from Africa to return to their homelands. We want the Russians and Ukrainians to return to their homelands. We want the Iranians to go to their homelands or another country. We want the ongoing flow from Pakistan to stop. Every day, 1,000 to 1,250 people enter Turkey across our borders. We want our borders to be secure again.

Look, the King of Jordan says, "Let the Syrians leave." The President of Lebanon says, "Let the Syrians leave." Are they also racist and anti-Arab? They are already Arab. How can they be anti-Arab?

No country wants to carry the people of another country on its shoulders for a long time. There is a Hadith that says a guest who stays too long is a burden to the host. The Turkish nation is suffering today. The Zafer Party opposes the oppression of the Turkish people. We oppose spending 11 billion dollars a year on refugees. So far, 2,000 dollars, approximately 60,000 lira, has come out of the pocket of every Turkish citizen. We oppose this.

Another immoral slander against the Zafer Party is that we are anti-Islamic. Know this; we are not among those who have been Muslim for 20 years. We have been Muslim for a thousand years, thank God, and we will not let anyone question this. Get out of here!

We evaluate our citizens not according to their religious beliefs, but according to their love for Turkey.

Another slander against the Zafer Party is pro-Israel sentiment. You all know they called us "MOSSAD" for months, and then it turned out that those they gave citizenship to and hired as civil servants in the state were working for MOSSAD.

Those who say "The Zafer Party is engaging in provocation" are slandering the Zafer Party immorally. So far, not a single person has had a nosebleed and not a single window has been broken due to the policies of the Zafer Party.

Although it is a constitutional right, the Zafer Party did not hold rallies outside of the election period so that there would be no provocation. It has held only one march since its establishment. Our provincial and district chairmen have been in constant contact with police authorities to ensure that no incidents occur.

While we do these things, the Hezbollah-linked HÜDA PAR wants sharia and federalism, and this is not considered provocation. They walk the streets in Batman with demands for a sharia state and Kurdistan, and this is not considered provocation. The HDP insults all our national sacred values in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and it is not considered provocation, but when the Zafer Party says "The border is honor," is it considered provocation?

You allowed millions of refugees and illegal migrants to enter Turkey. You turned Turkey into a paradise for criminals. You made Turkey the center of ISIS. You created an environment that allows foreign intelligence services to find all kinds of agents in Turkey. Is it considered provocation when we tweet against this and say "let the refugees return to their homelands"?
