After Arı was brought to Ankara, his statement procedures at the police station took a long time. The proceedings, which continued throughout the day, concluded at 18:50 after a one-hour break.
"THEY ARE TRYING TO PAD THE FILE"
The detained journalist shared a message through his lawyers. Arı stated, "I was detained because of a video from three months ago. During my holiday visit, I was brought to Ankara after traveling 450 km. They continue to add old tweets and videos to my file. I believe they are trying to pad the file to ensure my arrest." Arı noted that they have been constantly looking for excuses to have him arrested for the past year.
